A-Day @ Auburn

We had a great weekend with the family! We got to all head to Auburn for our traditional A-Day Game at Auburn. We always arrive first to scope out the parking and save 2 slots for Nana/Papa and Uncle Lorin/Aunt Angela and boys. Well this year was no different, we left the house at 7am EST and got there in plenty of time. Found a great spot at the church with 3 spots all together. We took the middle one and put a chair in each one beside us to save.

Nana and Papa made it next and we were still unloading when all of the sudden I see a car go by and then I hear our chair moving. Michael went out there to tell the girl we were saving that for someone coming and she insisted that she was parking there! The nerve of that girl! Michael walked a little closer and she kept on pulling in and proceeded to run over his foot! I cannot make this stuff up, I promise! This girl came with an attitude and so did the Pezent's! Nana and Papa came out there to help Michael out and I stayed back with the kids. We needed someone to be able to get the others out of jail!!! They were being very polite to the girl and she just kept on hollering and said she was going to call the police. "Go ahead, please do" says Papa! She said "Justice will be served"... Whatever! Police finally came and she changed her story of course. He was very nice, but did tell us there was no rule that we could actually save the spot, so we moved and she got her way. I skipped a lot of the drama that went with this story!

We had another guy walk by shortly after and stopped to give his moral support and could not believe that she was doing that. He said he had been coming for 30 years and reserving spots. If you saw where someone was reserving you just kept going until you found another one. That was just known around any college campus on any game day! Well, she had some function inside the church and wasn't going to walk the extra 20 steps that was at the other parking place just around the corner. Good thing...no one got thrown in jail and I did take pictures of her car and tag so she would not come back later saying we did anything to it or in case she hit ours!

Well, after that we did really enjoy our day in the sun with all the cousins. Brooke and Logan just love playing with Cody, Joseph and Caleb and they got along better than we could have ever hoped for. We went to the game, then went out on the field afterwards for the autograph session and headed back to picnic some more before time to head home. We finally left and got home right at 10pm, so you could say we were exhausted from a hard day of playing, but enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you all for a great time!!! Can't wait until next year.
