A day of frustration!

No pictures to post this week, so sorry! We had a great game on Friday night against Marietta for our first round of the playoffs. Despite some parent's that act more like children, it was a great win! I won't even get into all of that drama, but I know my husband does not get paid enough to put up with some parent's and their childish ways! Unfortunately it may affect some family decisions next year when it comes time for football/cheerleading, but only time will tell and a lot of prayers.

On Saturday, we had a day at home planned all day because I scheduled our Directv installer to come and set up our new receiver DVR, which they have to run another line for. Brooke had a friend come home with her from the game Friday night and spend the night, so I let them loose outside pretty early Sat. morning to play so I could clean house. I got so much done and it felt great to do it! Later in the day, I had to run to the store, then came home and mowed the grass for hopefully the last time this year! I mowed it extra low so maybe it burnt the grass so it won't come back up for now. LOL! Just kidding, sort of!

Ok, so back to the Directv installation...he was to be here between 12 - 4pm. After I finished mowing it was 4:30pm, so I called them. Needless to say, I ended up calling them 4 times between 4:30pm and 7pm that night with no call back from a manager. Urrrrgggghhhh! I was not happy. I work in customer service, I know what you have to do to please a customer when you are in the wrong, which is why it made it so much worse. Everytime I called and they put the message on the Contractor's home office, I would get a call from them immediately (until the last time) and they would tell me that a manager would call me within 20 min. Never Happened!!!

The good things that happened: after the first time I called, they immediately credited my account $50 for missing an appointment (which come to find out, that money comes directly out of the installers paycheck!). It's bad enough to miss the appt., but to not even call and let the customer know they are running behind or ran into issues at prior install. Come on, what happened to customer service? After the 3rd call, we got a free sports package for 3 months also! Needless to say, I just had to call back to set up another appt. because they still have not called me.

They also offered me $5/month off on my bill for 3 months today when I called. She was so nice and completely understood the frustrations and tried to find anything they could offer me since we have been with them for soooo long. She was great and I told her! We will see if they show up tomorrow now.

So, that was my day or afternoon of frustration and in the meantime, I realized I needed to get some supper out for my kids during all these phone calls. Brooke wanted cold pizza left over and Logan wanted a simple grilled cheese sandwich. Simple you say...normally it would be, but not for me! I had a casserole in the oven that I was watching to make sure I did not burn the cheese on top, tea cooking on the stove, trying to get the pizza out and on a plate and a grilled cheese cooking, not to mention calling Directv again! I realize the pan is smoking...darn, let's throw that one away. "Logan, Mommy is getting it, but I need to make another one. I just burned your sandwich." Another one started and I continue with checking on everything else, then I look up and notice the pan smoking again! Dagum (Ok, after trying to spell that word, I realize it is not a word and just the southern slang, LOL) another one is burnt!

I called out to Logan and said "buddy, Mommy is so sorry, but I just burned another sandwich so I will have to do it a 3rd time." Without missing a beat my dear, sweet son just looked at me with those hungry eyes and said "I think I will just take a peanut butter sandwich Mommy!" Oh how I loved him so much at that very moment!!! He saw I could not even handle making a grilled cheese and he just settled for the next best thing!

After all kids were in bed and suppose to be sleeping I hear Brooke run downstairs with her 3rd tooth in hand and a big grin just enough to show off that gaping hole in her mouth! She was so proud that she pulled another one. She put it in her little treasure box beside her bed and little did I know she also wrote a note to the tooth fairy. Good thing she has a night light by her bed or the tooth fairy would have never seen the note to be able to write back! She was tickled to death this morning when she saw that she wrote back. She took the note to school to share with her class. I love that so much!

So it is Monday and so far all is going fine. I definitely think I need my brain to detox from all this negativity this weekend and focus on God and all his wonderful beauty of the holiday season. I will not let these people get me down again! Enjoy your week and can't wait to post after Friday's game, it is going to be a good one and a tough one! Let's go RAMS!

Cheerleading has come to an end.

On Sunday we had Brooke's football/cheerleading banquet at the park. It was a beautiful day after all the rain from the previous week. We had a great year cheering, met new friends, opened up more to being in front of people performing and just gained a lot more self confidence. It truly was a great experience for Brooke to help overcome some of those fears.
The girls all got a trophy, a cool zebra print and green duffle bag with their names monogrammed on it and a big framed picture collage put together by one mom! She did an amazing job, we just provided her with pictures. We had the greatest coaches too and hope to have the same next year...yes, I did say next year. Brooke realized after they won Cheer-Off she wants to do this again.
Eating their pizza.

Listening to Mrs. Jennifer their coach before giving out awards.

Even little man got in on the cake! He won't miss that part!
Playing afterwards with all her friends.

We are in trouble...already chasing boys around! This is one of our friends son's. Brooke goes to school with him and they go to church with us, so we will let this one slide! Ha! I tried getting a picture of Brooke, Mallory, Fisher and Mason (they all go to the same school together and have all become friends over the last few years), but the boys would have no part in that.

Happy Halloween...ok, so I'm a little late!

We had a great weekend last weekend for Halloween. Although the rain was definitely in the forecast, we did not let that damper our spirits. Friday night we had our "Bye" week with football, so we had Daddy home all night! Hooray!
Saturday I decided to get some of the holiday shopping done or scope things out at least so I headed out in all the nasty rain. Had a great enjoyable day to myself. I know that sounds selfish, but I really did get to enjoy myself. I love being able to stop at any store that I may see on my way and just "Look", not feel rushed, just "look". You moms out there, have to understand what I mean! While out shopping I got a call from one of our friends and Brooke's best friends Mom who invited us over to trick -or -treat and for Brooke to spend the night with them.
Got home and got the kids ready for the night. I must say and I know I am VERY bias, but we had the cutest little Batman and Batgirl! Brooke found her costume first, then Logan decided he wanted to be Batman. I went along because I thought that would be cute together. Although, Logan almost changed his mind on my in mid-stream. He spotted a Scooby Doo costume and really wanted it, but we persuaded him back to Batman!
So...here we are! Batman and Batgirl!
Waiting to get on the neighborhood hayride! Oh yea, it also turned out pretty chilly that night too. Wet and cold, but the kids were real troopers. Logan and Brooke's socks were completely soaked when we returned to the King's house for hotdogs and chili!
Brooke, Mallory and Riley waiting to go.
Logan, Casey and one of Casey's friend got wrapped up.
Mama holding the umbrella to keep us dry.
Back to the King's house to go through the candy and eat as much as we want. Hotdogs are cooking, chili is ready and parent's are just ready to sit around and relax watching football. We had a great night and a late one!

A weekend in the mountains

We had the chance to head up to the north GA mountains on Saturday this past weekend and enjoyed every minute of our time away together. This year we went to Dillard, GA with some friends from church and stayed the night in one of the Dillard cabins/farm house. We had the best time together.

We left Saturday morning and made one stop when we got there at a place called "Goats on the Roof" and they literally meant that. It was the funniest thing to see. They definitely ate very well there too. We fed them lots! You put the food in a little cup that was on a chain and then you cranked on the handle or bike and sent it right up to them. They knew it was coming too!

We left there and headed to the state park in Rabun County to hike a 2.2 mile trail on Black Rock Mountain. That is the highest point in any GA State Park. Not the highest point in GA, just in the State Parks. The kids did pretty good. We stopped several times for a snack break, but pretty short ones. Then they started getting a little colder as we got higher up. Mine seemed to be more focused on eating than anything else! We made it though and then had to come back down. Logan only fell a couple of times, so all in all we did pretty good.

We decided to go to another little short hike in the same park that led to a little waterfall. The hike was only .25 miles one way, but it was straight down and then of course, straight back up. That one was pretty tiring and then we were all hungry. We took off to the Dillard House and made it there around 5pm. The food was just as good as the last! We love that place and even got to bring some home. We got checked into our cabin/house there at the restaurant and headed that way. It was a quaint little farm house, so there were rooms everywhere instead of it being all open. This actually worked out great, the kids played in our room and ran around most of the night, while we sat in the living area watching football and playing music. We were all so tired, and headed to bed around 10pm.

Poor Ansley (Mark and Christy's oldest) got sick to her stomach right as we headed off to bed, but luckily it was nothing. She had just eaten too much then got hot running around with the other kids. We got up the next morning and cooked a big breakfast before gathering everything together to head out. When we started loading the vehicles up, the kids all saw the horses in the pastures around our house had come up so they ran over to pet them all. They were very friendly horses. All except that one with big ears! The mule came over and Logan put his hand out as it chomped down on his little hand. He went to screeming and Ansley started hitting it in the nose, then it chomped down even harder and did not want to let go. He was very upset to say the least. It left a good bite indention in his middle finger, but went away pretty quick. He said later, "Mommy, was that thing a horse?", "No baby, it was a mule.". "I don't like mules, they bite hard and have big teeth!" He is still talking about that thing that looked like a horse!

We stopped at a flea market on the way out, then went back down to Tallula Falls and ate at Isabelle's, which was pretty good food too. Then we went back around Rabun Lake, saw some beautiful homes/castles and finally made it over to the Minnihaha Falls. That was such a beautiful waterfall and so fresh smelling there. The kids all enjoyed seeing it too and it was another very short hike. We left there and headed out to come back home.

Brooke started asking, "Aren't we going to at least hug bye?" since the Bowman's were in their vehicle. I told her we probably would, she just insisted she didn't get to say bye to them. Logan chimed in at the right moment and shouted out, "Bye...ok, I'm good!" For any of those that has seen the movie Cars! It was so funny, Michael said, "now, that was pretty good!". We had a great time together as a family and with some good friends. Thanks guys for joining us this year! Hopefully next year, we can get more of our small group together.

Enjoy the pictures!

Wacky Tacky Pep Rally

Last night was our last practice of the season and it was Wacky Pep Rally night. The girls practiced a little, played a little and ran around a lot! They were so hyper to say the least.
After practice we went over to the football field where our boys were practicing, or they just finished up a scrimmage against their "MAMA'S"! Hate I missed that one!
The boys went with our the cheerleading coaches to learn a cheer (it is at the very bottom on a video) and the girls were with the football coaches hitting the pads! They all had a ball and it was so cute to watch them play. Then we all came together and performed in front of the others. Some of the boys were just a little shy!
Some of the girls really went all out Wacky! Brooke did not do as much, but more to her hair and the upside down "G" tatoo on her forehead. So cute to see them have such a good time.

Brooke, Mallory, and Casey with their favorite Varsity Cheerleader, Lauren! We love Lauren and Kayla!!
Get Ready, Set...
Push 'em back!
Now Tackle!!! Daddy would be so proud!
Could not leave out my favorite Batman ever! His costume just came in yesterday and he could not wait to put it on. So, after we got home from practice I let him try it on. He wanted to sleep in it, but I had to persuade him not to since it was not too cold last night. Brooke is the hot pink Batgirl, so he wanted to be Batman! I love that he was showing off his muscles without me telling him to. It must just come naturally when you put on one of these costumes.

Here is the boys doing the cheer! Way to go boys!!!

Cheer-Off FollowUp

This post is mainly for the grandparents as most would be completely bored by this...so please stay tuned for later posts!

They finally downloaded the Cheer-Off pictures on the professional website and there are some pretty good ones of Brooke. Unfortunately due to costs, we will not be purchasing any of our own or for anyone, so if you chose to get any you can purchase from the site directly...beware they are a little pricey (to me!).

Go to: www.smaxart.com click on Photo Gallery at the top, then a screen with one big picture will show up, just click on the picture and another window will appear. Go up to the top left corner and click on Gallery, then in the drop down find GFL Cheeroff, then go to 2G Grayson large AS (right now it says Coming Soon on there, but the pictures are there if you click on it). There are 179 pictures and these are the ones that are pretty good close ups of Brooke, however there are some others that you may catch her in the background on.

picture # 20, 82, 83, 96, 99, 100, 104, 107, 134, 168-171, 177-179

She looks terrified in the beginning pictures, the only one not smiling! Bless her heart, but she did great anyhow and LOVED it! Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Hopefully, I will have more to post later, but at this time our lives have been pretty uneventful this past week!!! Woohoo!!! We are hoping to head to the mountains for the day on Saturday, so should have more to post then.

Happy Birthday Logan!

Logan's 1st real hair cut!
Happy Birthday to our little man...Logan! We love you and thank God everyday for blessing us with you in our family! You always keep us laughing and pray you always will. Laughter is the best medicine and you always make me feel better! We are so proud of who you are becoming and how good of a friend you are to others. You brighten up the day around me. I can't believe you turned 4 today, my how time has flown and you did not even mind sharing your special weekend with your sister and all of her things she had going on. You share everything so well and I could not be prouder of you. You keep up what you are doing and know that first, God loves you and that me and your Daddy are so proud of you and love you more than words can decribe. Thank you for being you and thank you for calling me Mommy! Hugs and kisses always!

Back to our regularly scheduled life...

Well, after this weekend our family is kind of back to normal with a little more normal schedule for us! This was our winningest (ok, I know that is not a word) weekend every! Started off with Thursday night, the JV and 9th Grade football teams won their games. Friday night Grayson won, Saturday morning Brooke's team that she cheers for won their first game, Saturday night Auburn won and the final and most exciting...Sunday morning, the 2nd Grade Large Division Grayson Rams Cheerleaders won Cheer Off! We were so proud of that squad and coaches for all their hard work!
Our weekend started out on Friday. I took the day off to spend most of it with Logan and to take him to the doctor for his 4 year old check up! Yes...I did say 4!!! Where is the time going? Well, we got to the doctor and could not even get the 4 immunization shots he needed since it was not quite his birthday yet, so we just got the flu shot and his finger prick. He did so good, but still cried. He is getting a little better though and I had already promised him a wonderful lunch out at Chick-fil-a with our dear friends Mrs. Melissa and her daughter Casey, who is Logan's best buddy! Casey had to get her 4 year old shots that morning before us too, so we were treating them both.
After a nice lunch with them, we all headed down the road to Cold Stone Creamery for the kids to enjoy a nice cool treat of their choice.
This is Logan and Casey enjoying their ice cream outside of Cold Stone Creamery. I told Melissa it looked like they were sitting at a Bistro in Paris! So grown up! Logan had to get the same kind of ice cream as Casey, he said "Well, it's blue and I like blue!".
So then we headed home and stopped to check Brooke out of school. Not long after we arrived home Grandma and Papa John made it to town for the weekend. We loaded up and headed to none other than...
TOYS R US!
Yes, this is our birthday tradition with Grandma and Papa John and the kids really enjoy it. He played at the Thomas table for quit a while, but not as long as I thought he would (he was getting hungry). I was so happy that Toys R Us did not have the Thomas Action Canyon, because that is what he was planning on buying and I had already ordered it and was waiting until Saturday morning for him to open. Whew!
Lot's of thinking going into this playtime!
After shopping it was time to head over to On The Border for some good ole' mexican. We got them to sing to Logan and then we got a big plate of those delicious cinnamon sugar thingys...can't remember what they call them, but they are delicious for sure!
Enjoying the last drop of cheese he left!
When we got home it was about 6:45pm, so I decided to leave the kids home with the grandparent's and head on over to the high school football game. Wasn't sure if I would make it back in time, so did not really plan on that one, but glad I got to go. Great game to watch and support Michael!
Saturday morning, we all had to be up bright and early for Brooke's game. We had to be there by 8:30am, so off we went. She got picked as Captain this week, so she got to call out the cheers. It was a little chilly that morning, but felt great!
Logan snuggled in with Grandma...not watching Brooke. LOL!
When we got home, we finally gave Logan his present and boy was he a happy boy! We had to go ahead and put it together for him to play with for a little while before taking them up to...
Yes we are completely insane! Chuck E. Cheese's on a Saturday!!! I believe Logan was pretty tired though, he was ready to go by the time I made it back from Costco. I think he just wanted to get home to play with Thomas Action Canyon!!! He wanted to call Preston (Denise's little boy) to tell him he got a Thomas Action Canyon too!
Just playing some of the games.
Some of the many prizes.
Finally we got to blow out the candles and enjoy some birthday cake. He requested a strawberry and chocolate cake, so one layer is strawberry and the other is chocolate. Pretty tasty with cream cheese icing.
Then after all that fun, Brooke and I had to go to the hair party to get her hair put up for Cheer Off on Sunday while the rest of the family headed out for a nice dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. On Sunday morning we met up with the rest of the squad at 8am and headed to the Gwinnett Arena where their squad had to compete with 4 other Large Division squads around the county. We won 1st place and was so proud of those girls and all the coaches. They all worked so hard for this. It was our coaches 2nd year in a row to win it for their division and some of these girls were on the squad last year, so they knew what it felt like. Brooke on the other hand had never won anything like this and was so happy. I think she is stuck on cheerleading for a while now! I have seen a huge confidence boost with her since starting this year, although I have also seen her grow into a young lady too. )-: Please check out the slideshow below as I put pictures of all of their cheering from the summer until Cheer Off on there and you can tell by the music I choose that I am a little sad she is growing up so fast! Hope you enjoy them all and I am so glad to finally be able to slow down a bit this week from extracurricular activities because work has been enough!

Old Maid!

This is Logan's look of "DEFEAT"! He has been defeated by Nana AND Papa at Old Maid! It has been an extremely long few weeks around here so a little behind on updates.
The past week and a half has been a lot of flooding rain around here! Nana and Papa came into town two Friday's ago to go watch the Grayson Rams play and it was a complete miracle that on Friday night we had no rain and the sky's actually cleared some. They were going to finally get to watch Brooke cheer on Saturday, but due to all the flooding the games all got called off. On top of all the rain, I started getting sick with just a nasty cold and laryngitis.
On Tuesday of last week, I had to go over to Peachtree City for a management meeting with my new boss! It was such a relief to finally get to meet him and know what he is expecting. I was there through Thursday and cannot thank Nana and Papa enough for staying the week to shuffle the kids around for us and to get them fed!
It was a good thing they were going on vacation on a cruise this past weekend to recoup from the week around here with these schedules! Everything went well from what they said and the kids just love having grandparents around.
Before I left for my meeting, I got to witness this mad game of Old Maid between Logan, Papa and Nana! This kid is determined to win these cards games.
Not so happy that no one will pick the Old Maid from him.
I think Papa finally gave in and picked it. Logan would stick the Old Maid up higher than all the other cards and then when you would try to pick another card, he would move his hands around to try and get your hand to land on that one! He was hysterical!!!
Looks like he got it back from Nana!
"Man, I just can't get rid of this card!"
Hoping and Praying that Papa will pick her again!
His sister came to try and help him out!
"Here you just take this one!"
Uh Oh! He got it back!!!
DOG!
We did have our game at Shiloh a few weeks ago that I had forgotten to download from my camera. Here is Brooke with Kaitlyn and Elizabeth doing one of the cheers. This is our final week of 3 day practices and then on Sunday we have the BIG CHEER OFF at the Gwinnett Arena. This is their big competition that they have worked so hard for. It is only 2 minutes long, but a lot of hours of practice for it. They will be competing in the Large Division against about 6 or 7 other Gwinnett teams. We will be having a "hair party" on Saturday night so those parents that know how to get their hair up can help those of us that can't do it! Brooke has really enjoyed cheering this year and I have enjoyed watching her grow into a young lady!

The Sweetness of My Children

No pictures today, just some sweet moments with my children!

Logan: "Mommy, can you please hand me the merote?" aka: REMOTE - This word has proven to be one VERY difficult word for my child, but I love it and will hate the day that he says it right! I'm just glad I have this blog to write it on so I don't ever forget it. He has already started correcting himself with the word Yellow and it is breaking my heart!!! )-: It used to be "lellow", like most children. And of course, one of my all time favorites: wishwhoppers for windshield wipers!

Brooke had a project this week that I saw in her bookbag last week, but avoided asking her about due to myself not wanting to do it. It was not a mandatory project, might I add!

Their school is putting together a cookbook and they asked for you to bring in a recipe and to make the recipe and bring in so the class could do a taste test to vote on which one would be picked for the cookbook. I knew I just did not have time. It was to be done on Wednesday (yesterday). So, after I sent her to school yesterday I thought to myself...whew, I got out of that one! How horrible am I???

She came home and was telling me about a few things and then asked if I could please make something for her to take in today. I mentioned that the sheet said it was to be done on Wednesday. She said only 3 people brought anything so they would let us do it on Thursday too. I immediately told her I just did not have time. I had to work til 5pm, run them to get some supper, then off to church, then if I did do something I would have to stop by the store after church last night and come home to make it and I just did not see how I could get it done.

Well, I was immediately convicted of my words! Who am I...Mommy! This is part of my job, would I tell my boss, "sorry, I just don't have time to do that for you!"? Absolutely not!!! Also, these days I am committed to work for God and no one else, so would I tell God "NO or I don't have time". To be honest, yes, I have done that in the past and I am working on that change in my life. I don't want to be the one saying NO to God!

Finally, I ran downstairs and opened my cookbook to find something quick and easy and there it is the Peanut Butter Fudge recipe from my dear friend Denise! So, I ran back upstairs and told Brooke that I would stop by the store after church and get the stuff to make that...she was elated!!! To see that sweet smile from you child that you know is so genuinely sincere is the BEST feeling ever!

After church, sent Brooke home with Daddy so she could get her shower while little man and I went to Publix. Got home and started cooking it up. Brooke came downstairs to tell me goodnight and she walked into the kitchen sniffing. She said, "oh Mommy, that smells sooooo good" and I just smiled at her letting her know it was almost done. Then the most appreciative and sweetest thing I could have ever hoped for from my family... "Mommy, thank you so much for making this for me!" with a HUGE hug to go with that. OK, yes I almost cried it was so sweet.

Lately I have definitely been in that mode of not feeling appreciated for ANYTHING being done for anyone and I have been working on myself and just preparing my heart with desires instead of expectations and then this. I told her this morning how much that meant to hear those words from her and of course that rewarded me with another bear hug from her.

Both of my children have got such a HUGE heart and I am so blessed to have that. Now I have realized how I have got to change my ways with them and Michael and get rid of all of these expectations I have for them. In our small group on Wednesday nights we are talking about this in marriages right now and it is all opening up so clear now. What some powerful messages! I recommend the iMarriage series by Andy Stanley for anyone with a small group. It has some very powerful and thought provoking messages in it. We are only through 2 weeks and it is great stuff.

Another one bites the dust!!

OK, so Friday night we won another week and getting that much closer to the playoffs. Could it get here any faster?? Just kidding, I do love football season, just not the work that is involved!
Friday night we had Youth Night, so Brooke got to walk with her cheer squad and football team around the track. Woo Hoo...it was hot! Me and Logan took to the shade by the concession stand, heehee! She had a great time at the game though and is growing up faster than I can say it. Looks like this year she wants to go down and play with her friends on the stands. This Friday especially since most of her squad was there. I did not even have to tell her to check in with me periodically, she was back up there with me about every 30 minutes to make sure I was still there. LOL! I am attempting to sit in the stands for the first time this year with the kids, so hopefully I can actually watch some football. So far so good, we only went down to play after halftime this week, but could have made it in the stands the entire time probably.
I must say that getting home at 11pm from a Friday night game and then trying to get the kids up on Saturday morning to go to Brooke's game is not a good thing. I will have to start bringing them home right after games or get a sitter. That is too much to expect out of those little ones. Although, they hang right there with us and cry when time to leave.
The boys warming up Friday night with the Youth teams walking to their spots on the other side of the field.
Brooke standing behind the little girl with the long braid.
Saturday morning against Brookwood...we did not win our game Saturday, but the boys played great. Lost 26-13 (I think was the final score). And yes, our girls make banners for the boys to run through at this age too and they are so cute to watch!

Brooke just having a blast! Oh, and getting too old, did I already mention that one?
During the halftime routine! They are getting so good with this.
Papa Ray got to come by and surprise the kids Saturday. He even came to the game with us. The kids enjoyed having him there and we thank you Papa for coming.
Saturday night Brooke was suppose to have her good friend come over and spend the night...our first spend the night experience, but her friend ended up with a fever so we let her stay at home. Then today at church I was talking with some friends of ours and they suggested Brooke come to there house tonight and spend the night with Sydney. Brooke was completely estatic to do this. I thought she would be a little scared since she recently told me that she did not want to spend the night off until she was 10! It was all because she was worried about it being too dark in someone else's house, and I had to explain to her that I would let her take a nightlight. Well, this time I told her that Mr. Mark already said that he gives the girls these cool light sticks and they love them. She was extremely excited then! I will take her later to meet them and go out to eat. We are so blessed by the friends around us!

Wandering aimlessly through the house

It's just before midnight and I hear, "Mama". Startled awake, I jump out of bed and look around...but no Logan in sight. I run to the door and don't see him. Now, thinking I am really loosing it and have not had enough sleep, I turn to head back to the bed and this little figure comes running down the hall out of the office going in all directions.

I realize he is not awake fully and must need to go potty. So, I grab him and tell him to go to the potty, guiding him in the right direction. He pulls away and starts in his own direction, so I have to grab him again. Get to the bathroom and realize with all his running through the upstairs of the house trying to find someone he has wet just a little.

I go to the bedroom, get some more underwear for him and head back to the bathroom where I left him to finish his business. When I told him to turn around and step into his underwear, he immediately started lifting his leg to step into the toilet! I pushed his leg down and kept telling him to turn to me, but he insisted on putting his leg into the toilet! I finally got him to stop doing that and successfully headed back to bed!!!

About an hour and a half later, I hear just some weird "I don't know where I am or what I am doing" noises and jumped up again to find Logan standing next to me. I told him to run to the potty and he was running funny like he had wet pants. When we got into the light of the bathroom I realized he had his underwear down around his ankles. He never went to the bathroom again and I got him back to bed one more time with the stern..."Don't get out of bed again!" speech and went quickly into my room to make sure he did not just tee tee all over my floor thinking it was the bathroom! Whew...we were safe, no accidents on the floor.

Both of our kids do sleep walk and it can be funny at times and can be scary just to see how out of it they are! That was Logan's weirdest night so far with it though. He has been so tired lately with our new schedule, I have got to get him back to a better schedule...don't know how, but some how it has to! We were late getting home on Tuesday night due to cheerleading practice and pep rally, then last night after I fed them supper I told Logan he looked sleepy, but I got the immediate response of "I'm not sleepy"!

I ran upstairs to finish getting ready for church and within 5 minutes was back downstairs to find him sacked out on the floor. I could not even wake him up he was so deep into his sleep. I picked him up and put him in the van without waking him. Got him out at church, took Brooke to choir and me and him headed to the snack room to wait for our class the next hour and he never woke up. We sat down and he woke for just a minute to tell me he was cold, because the air was blowing pretty good in there and he changed positions, fell back to sleep until time to go to class.

I knew dropping him off after sleeping for a little over an hour would not be good, and he proved me to be right (for the first time...heehee!). His teacher had to hold him for a minute for him to stop crying and get out of his funk. I think all this led to his restless sleepy night too. The great thing is we have nothing to do tonight, cheerleading got canceled due to curriculum night at the high school, so we can actually eat a decent meal at home and get to bed BEFORE bedtime! Praise GOD...we all need a little extra sleep!

Too Cool!

Ok, I think it is so cool that our high school team made it on the AT&T and Yahoo homepage today! It was an article on Rival.com that showed the 100 top high school football teams in the nation and we are still at #5! We are so proud of this team, especially after Saturday night in the Dome. Can't wait for the season and just thank God for all the glory on that field! God has blessed this team and coaches beyond our comprehension!

Thank you God for these huge accomplishments for this team!!!

I pray that we never forget where it all came from!

1st Day of 3 year old Pre-K

Another first day of school, this time for the little man himself! He was so excited. He woke up around 10 til 7am this morning with a big grin on his face. He just knew today was the day. We got his sister up and then headed downstairs for his morning breakfast of banana with peanut butter on it!I just can't believe how fast these years are flying by. It won't be long and he will be in big school with his sister! They are both learning things so quick right now, it is truly amazing to watch a child go through these different stages in life. So different from watching yourself go through it!

Dressed and ready to go!
Got one before we took Brooke to school too.
Logan walking up to the door like a big boy!
Standing with some friends of ours, but he did not want his picture made by this point. His nerves started setting in about now and he was getting clingy.
Holding onto Mama's shorts leg. I walked him in and he did not want to let go of my hand. I felt so bad for him, because he got so shy. He was sitting beside a friend from church, but he did not care at this point. He never broke down crying loudly, but I turned and told his teachers assistant that she may have to help him out for a minute so I could leave and when I turned back, he had his hands over his eyes so no one could see him...)-: I hope he has had a great day and I will see him in about 30 minutes! I think we will start going through carpool tomorrow to ease the nerves and he will have his best buddy, Casey with him tomorrow!

Grayson Rams win over Defending State Champions

Way to start the season boys! 1 - 0, beating the defending state champions, Camden County Wildcats Saturday night in the GA Dome at the Corky Kell Classic. What an awesome night of football, we had a great time watching these guys play their hearts out! We have beaten the defending state champion 3 years in a row now! First was Peachtree Ridge, then last year was Lowndes and this year Camden. Great job guys and coaches!
Brooke watching the warm ups before the game.
Mama making Logan take a picture...hahaha! He started off being a little grumpy, but warmed up very quickly. He fell asleep on the way to the Dome and did not get too long of a nap.
Offense getting ready to take the field. Daddy in the huddle!
Two of Brooke's friends from school and they cheer on the other 7 year old team.
Presley, Brooke (center) and Morgan
I realized how much she is growing up at the game this weekend. She found her friends and asked to go sit with them, well they all ended up down where we were since we were on the wall. They were all 3 doing cheers that they learned. It is just so different when she is around friends now)-:
Logan watching with Papa
There is that cute Daddy of ours strutting down the sidelines!
Logan being Logan...He was as funny as ever again this weekend! I pray this kid keeps his humor forever, because it is pretty funny!
Watching the countdown on the clock as we take a knee!
Congratulations RAMS!
After the game walking back to our parking deck with Nana and Papa. We had a great weekend with them.
