Well our summer travel season is officially over. We won't be traveling anywhere again until late November or early December except for playing football! Me and the kids took advantage of the nice weekend last week and headed over to Birmingham to see my good friend and her family. The kids only get to see each other once a year, but it is fun to see how they will play together everytime. Michael had a football FCA camp to go to, so that was the perfect time to get away.
This year we decided just to hang around close so they can just play. Good thing we did and did not pay to go do anything, because Logan was in a foul mood a good bit of the time. Unfortunately with all the traveling lately also comes very tired and cranky kids. They have done so good all summer, but it is finally started catching up to them.
They really weren't as bad as I make it sound, but when you have them doing so good and then they have a bad day, it throws us all off a little! Preston is teaching my kids all about the big trucks and what kind they are! Now when we pass one, Brooke says "Preston would love that truck!". He cracks me up with his knowledge of trucks, and he knows them...even from behind!
Thank you Nise for having us over to stay and play. We enjoyed the weekend to spend together. I remember when we used to get together it was going to get manicures/pedicures, going out to eat and actually getting to talk to one another about adult things, now it is helping everyone get along, throwing balls, helping with bikes, trying to figure out how to wear the kids down so they will go to bed at a decent hour and telling kids in the restaurants not to talk so loud! LOL! I love every minute of the craziness that surrounds my life!!!

Saturday, we did venture out to the Splash Park to have some fun. They played hard for about 45 minutes, then Logan got ran over by a girl with a beach ball and as you see that is just concrete, so he screamed (of course) and then he was done with the fun in the water! Just glad we did not take them anywhere that we had to pay to get in. A little later on Preston came over and said he was ready to go home, then Brooke chimed in "I'm hungry". So we went back home and got some lunch!
They loved standing under the buckets that dropped water on their heads.
