End of 1st Grade Party

Today was Brooke's class End Of The Year Party. They had an ice cream party @ 10am? The kids have been trying to earn points towards unlimited toppings for their party and most did get unlimited, but there were a few that only got 1 or 2 toppings and I tell you they had more toppings then Dairy Queen. And of course, my child picked all that she could put on her's! I was just praying she would not be sick to her stomach before lunch!
My instructions when she left the house this morning was to be careful and not make herself sick before lunch. Also, that at lunch she had to eat her healthy things (yogurt and oranges) before she could eat her popcorn since she was having ice cream before lunch. She did just that and ate most of her popcorn. I was shocked!
I was so proud of her this year. She excelled so much in reading this year and has just grown so much as an individual! I must say that she is a typical girl too, a Rule Follower! That is not such a bad thing to be either!
Her brother got to come along too since he is out of school on Monday's. Sorry for the hair, did not have time to wet it down, so a little bed head to say the least!
Brooke patiently waiting on the ice cream and Daddy just checking out the toppings!
Look at that bowl of mess she has! Was not too appetizing to me!
Even Logan got in on the fun. I fixed him one scoop of chocolate with some freeze chocolate on top and he did not want it at first. He said he just likes ice cream from the ice cream store, not at that school! It did not take long for him to try it and decide he did like it. He never has been an ice cream eater, but I think he is changing his mind now.
Yummy!
Mrs. Bowen gave them all a beach ball for their classmates to sign. They had the best time going around the room signing each others ball.
She was one of about 5 kids that got the Reading Achievement award for being at a level 26 or higher in reading. Mrs. Bowen said this year was the best year she has ever had with her readers! Great Job Brooke! She reads with such emotion too, that is what Mrs. Bowen loved about her reading!
Mrs. Bowen with her many gift cards! We love you Mrs. Bowen! What a wonderful teacher. She is due with a baby boy on Halloween, so we wish her the best next year!
Even Logan got in on the signing party! Everyone was asking him and all the parent's to sign their ball!
Signing away!
On our way out we found Logan giving his final autograph!
All sugared up and ready to play! Come on SUMMER TIME!
