Brooke's new bed!

The arrival of Brooke's new bed made by Papa Pezent: This is the bed that the newspaper did an article on in Jackson, AL. The wood is from a Cherry tree that was damaged in Hurricane Ivan, Papa had it cut down and taken to a saw mill. It is beautiful wood and the bed turned out great! It is such thick wood too, so it should make it through many generations. Thank you Papa for such a beautiful treasure!
I wanted to get a picture of Brooke unwrapping it for the first time. She was thrilled to see it.
They both wanted to help Nana and Papa carry it in! Logan is also carrying his golf clubs, so he was really helping.
Ok, I know this is very dark going up our stairs, but thought it was so funny to see Logan helping. He was grunting and moaning the whole way, but saying "I helping you Papa". He has the far end of the piece Papa was carrying.
Putting it together
Can I jump on it now????
It looks so different in her room now. She had just had a mattress and boxspring on the floor since Logan was born. I really never had a big problem with that because she falls out of bed on occasions, so no big deal. But, now she looks like she has a big girls room.
Ready for bed....not!
Floppy is taking his nap. Yes, Denise we still have Floppy and he sleeps with Brooke every night since you gave it to her either 4 or 5 years ago!
This is just to show the detail on the footboard. Great job Papa and a lot of hard work!
Just capturing Logan playing with his beloved trains. Cars are put to the side for now, he is so into his trains. Although Thomas the Train (the cartoon) gets on my nerves as much as Barney, but he loves it and knows them all.
