Happy Birthday Preston!

So, we got back from Birmingham on Tuesday night and turned around and went back on Friday for my best friend's little boy's (not so little anymore) birthday! I would have done it a hundred times over for him too! This time the kids got to go and we added another kid to our bunch.

We left Friday after work and stayed in a hotel that night. My kids just love hotels, it is so funny! They are so nosey, checking every inch of the place out and then you put two 7 year old girls in a room together when time to go to bed and NO ONE gets any sleep! Those girls chatted for quite a while until we made them go to sleep or at least quit talking so the rest of us could go to sleep. They are so cute together though. They both took their American Girl dolls, so they were swapping clothes...yes, even American Girl dolls swap clothes! LOL!

Logan slept with Michael and I for the FIRST time ever! And yes, he is 4 years old. That may be the last time too! Heehee! He stayed up under me all night and kicked Michael on the other side! We got up and had breakfast before heading downtown to the McWane Science Center. That was the coolest place to have a birthday party. There were 4 floors (I think, we did not make it to the top floor) of nothing but cool and fun things to do. They had the party in a room downstairs and a guy came in to show the kids some cool ocean creatures and talk to them about how they live and what not. It was pretty cool and funny to see which kids would be so brave to touch them. Of course, not mine!

Then after that, we had the cake and ice cream and everyone headed their own directions to go have fun in the science center. Logan just wanted to go to Preston's house to play, the girls wanted to go see the space center, which we never made it to because I forgot that was what they wanted to see. It was so great to see our friends again and hang out with the family. We are so glad that Preston had an awesome day! By the way, I sure hope the frogs are still living! I forgot to take a picture of our gift, but they were the cutest little African Dwarf Frogs in their own little EcoAquarium. We watched those things for long periods of time before taking them to Bham. They were pretty funny to watch. Hope the trip did not shock them too much.

Thanks Nise, Tommy and Preston for a great trip. Can't wait to do it again! The kids were pretty bummed about leaving, but we still had to get Mallory home so her parent's did not think we kidnapped her. Enjoy the slideshow. Preston is in the red stripe shirt.
