The Final Christmas of 2009

As mentioned in the other post, it was a very busy holiday season! On the last leg of the Christmas break, my mom and John came to visit. They got here on the Sunday that everyone else left and we went to see the Medieval Times dinner show. That was a lot of fun. Logan was so glad he got a lightup sword and Brooke got a lightup headpiece. They enjoyed cheering on the green Knight, which was the bad guy! I think they really enjoyed getting to eat with their hands!

We took them to the movies the next day to watch Alvin and The Chipmunks and of course they both loved that! Lastly we all went to eat Japanese that night. That was the first time for the kids, because we knew they would probably not eat it, but we got them to eat some of the rice, not much and some of the steak. Logan actually loved the steak dipped in the yummy dipping sauce they give you! Brooke got to do some of the tricks with the old japanese man and I think she liked that! We had a great visit with them also.

I think everyone got to play on the Wii, play trains and maybe even some dolls throughout the Christmas break! We have so many trains in this house now, but Logan loves them. I just want to thank all of our parents for the wonderful times together throughout the month of December. I hope and pray our kids will always remember these times together and look forward to many more!

Lastly, after everyone was gone and the house was empty of decorations we decided to take off and head to Social Circle, GA to eat at Lou's Diner! What a great experience. It is owned by the same people that have The Blue Willow Inn and is located right behind it. It is an old 50's diner on the inside (the outside is a regular building). You had to have an ice cream after supper too or it just would not be the same! Then they let you spin the big wheel to see if you got your ice cream for free...we did not get so lucky, but it was all fun. Now that eveything has been done and seen we are back to our regularly scheduled life and routines!

I love this one with their toes sticking out!
