Another catch up post!

Where is the summer going? Time is flying right by us, so we better enjoy every moment God has given us and not complain about ANYTHING! We don't have time to complain! Well, school is out for the summer. Both kids did awesome, soccer is over, and now we are into the summer crazies!

The first few weeks we hung out at home a lot, because Mama still has to work. Daddy goes to football in the mornings and is done by about 11am. The kids thought they were starting to get a little bored. Brooke has been spending some nights off with friends while the rest of us just hung out. Logan was doing the "speed and agility" camp at the high school on Monday's and Wednesday until they just went on vacation.

He seemed to like it, he loves to run and show you how fast he is, but of course it wasn't all about running, they got to skip, jump, run sideways, etc. It was pretty hot out there at 11am those mornings on the black track, but they all survived it! I took a few days off this month and me and the kids got to go visit one of my best friends from high school and play in their pool. We cooked out at their house that night. Then we got together with some other friends one Saturday night and went out to eat pizza then walked over to the park next to that for "movie in the park" night and watch Despicable Me for the 100th time, but a great movie!

Last weekend we took off to Alabama to leave the kids for 2 weeks with Nana and Papa. As I type the message today, our kids have been gone for a week and I have not gotten to speak to them once! Not by choice...I've called twice and they have been out having fun, then Michael got them on Friday morning and talked to them, but I was working! I just want to hear their voice by this point!!!! I know they are having a ball though. Brooke has become a real fisherwoman. The girl will bait her own hook, catch the fish, she wants to take it off the hook, but is a little scared but has no problem grabbing the fish after someone takes it off and she will throw it back in the river. She is helping Logan bait with crickets...he doesn't want to mess with those critters. He wants the worms!

After we left last Sunday, Nana said Brooke caught about a 2 lb. aligator gar off the dock and had a good fight with it. Hate we missed that one. Brooke was a little sad to see us leave, not because she did not want to be there, but she wanted us to stay for a week too. Logan just wanted us to leave so he could get Nana and Papa to play Monopoly with him! I know they have had fun fishing, horseback riding, picking blueberries, playing games, etc.

Michael and I have enjoyed our time together too, even though the kids are greatly missed this is time that we both need too. We have had so many date nights we won't know how to act when the kids are back! We got together with an old friend of ours that we ran into at Lowe's a few weeks back and had not seen in 10-12 years. What great time catching up with them! He took me down to Buckhead to Fogo de Chao Saturday night! What an awesome experience. It is a Brazilian Steakhouse and oh my goodness at how much meat they bring you and how wonderful the cuts are! If you have never gone and have a chance to go to one sometime, it is great. You have a card on your table, one side green and one red. You flip it to green when you want them to bring meat to your table and they start flocking around you with all kinds of meat, then when you have enough, flip it back to red and they won't bother you. When you are ready again, flip to green. Really cool place!

Our next week looks to be equally busy, Monday night a night out again with our friends that we went out with last week, Tuesday Michael has football, Thursday night out with some other firends of ours, then of course Friday is our alone time! I got Logan's room rearranged finally, already did Brooke's a few weeks back. This give them so much more floor space to play in. Threw out an entire big garbage bag of junk in his room, now working on Brooke's room. It is amazing how much stuff they accumulate throughout the year. I do this every year when they go on vacation. My thought is after they have been gone for 2 weeks they will forget what all junk they had, so they hopefully won't miss much! LOL! I am attaching pictures from the weekend when we were with the kids at the fishing camp. Enjoy!
