Well, we had a nice 4th. We just stayed around the house and did a little work in the yard, Michael worked on the deck some more, ate watermelon, and then grilled some ribs that were awesome!
This was the night before, we had Spicy Chicken & Pasta, and Logan really enjoyed himself. When he was done, he wanted out right then! He had it in his hair, ears, nose, under the neck, etc...He won't let anyone feed him anymore, he wants to do it all by himself, which is fine just a little more clean up afterwards.
The morning of the 4th, Michael was backing his truck in the back yard to pick up all the old wood from the deck that he had to replace. Logan was helping him drive!
Brooke likes riding in the back. She could only work with her Home Depot apron on!
Look Mom...I'm helping Daddy pick up the small pieces.
Even Logan helped.
Then it was time to play.
Brooke had the Home Depot flags and was putting them on their swing set for the pirate ship!
Logan likes to take the pine cones up there so he can let them slide down the slide, since he won't. Then when Brooke slides she ends up landing on all the pine cones that he threw down.
This was too funny. He likes to be like Brooke, so he put her bike helmet on and I strapped it. When he bent over it started to choke him and he wanted it off right then!
Time for a little watermelon. Brooke could not wait to eat some. Logan on the other hand would not even try it. He would grab a piece and say "hot" then put it down. He is not as big of a fruit eater as Brooke.
